Art update

Art classes began and ended their first project in second semester. A piece using Sound or Movement as inspiration. Students had the choice between drawing, collage, sculpture, paint, and clay (or any combination!). We looked at various artists that use sound or movement as their inspiration.

Currently every student has a opportunity to use a potter's wheel. I hope to give every students that want to try at least 2 days on the wheel before the school year is over. It is difficult and frustrating, but fun!

When not using the wheel, students will be continuing as larger projects. The current project is to create something inspired by Steampunk / Mechanical / Industrial / Cyborgs... Students saw how to create relief sculpture using metal sheet (metal tooling). This will be an option for materials along with drawing, collage, sculpture, paint, and clay.
