Social Studies: 5/22 - 5/26

This week, we are going to have our first General Assembly meeting. Students wrote a position paper in regards to their country's stance on human rights. This position paper is due Tuesday, 5/23. On Monday, Mrs. Sukowski is coming in to give a presentation on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse. Tuesday will be out General Assembly meeting. The rest of the week, students will be creating a Public Service Announcement using i-Movie. The PSA will focus on the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Social Studies- 5/8-5/12

This week we will continue our study of the United Nations. We chose countries to represent last Friday and the students are becoming experts on their countries so they can represent them at our Model UN. We are creating posters to demonstrate our learning. We are also looking at the function and structure of the United Nations this week.
