Week of September 11

Students will take the STAR reading test on Monday. The rest of the week will be spent working on pulling textual evidence to support an argument, objective summaries, and then we will work on identifying the theme in a work.

Welcome to the exciting world of 8th grade World Cultures!

As the new school year begins, I am excited about seeing all of the students I had as 7th graders last year again. This year I plan on being here all semester and not taking a quarter off on paternity leave. I am also excited about the changes we have made to the 8th grade curriculum this year. We are beginning the year by analyzing culture. We are also beginning our first major project of the year-- the Amazing Race project!
