Social Studies Culture Project

The 8th grade social studies class just started their Culture Project today. Students chose a country and began finding out background information for their selected country to fill in on their worksheet. They will then need to research several features of their country's culture to get an informed view of what their culture is like. As a culminating activity, students will be writing a comparison paper that describes their country's culture, American culture, and two similarities and two differences between the cultures. Rough drafts of the paper need to be completed for class on Thursday so we can peer edit them in class together. The tentative due date will be early the week of September 14th. I will update my website and this blog with the official due date once it is set.
