Science 8 - Test Friday Feb 16

This week in Science 8 we will be ending up our first unit on Space Systems and the Solar Eclipse. Many students in both Ms. Pittner's and Ms. Weckerly's class have struggled to finish assignments in class last week and into Monday of this week. Assignments not finished in class become homework and need to either be finished during I/E time or at home as homework. Please check with your student this week about making sure that they are finished with the following assignments from our first unit:

• Galactic Maps and Galactic Reflection
• Tide Graphing Activity and Reflection
• Eclipse Webquest (assigned Monday of this week)
• Reading Response (assigned Tuesday of this week)

Monday - Time to finish tide graph/Eclipse Webquest

Tuesday - Unit Summary Table/Reading Response (regarding updated fish escape investigation)

Wednesday - Why were scientists worried about Atlantic Salmon in the Pacific Ocean?

Thursday - Final Model Creations and Reflection + Test Review

Friday - Space Systems Test (Topics - The Solar System, Gravity + Orbits, Moon Phases, Eclipses & Tides)
